Tell us about yourself and your journey to becoming a strength coach.

In 2012, I ran my first-ever race! I was in college at the University of Cincinnati and gained freshman 15. I knew I needed to do something about it, so I signed up for the Flying Pig Half Marathon. I started running three times a week to build up for race day. My knees started killing me during my training, so I thought it would be good to rest the whole week before race day. Needless to say, that did not help my knees! I was in pain the entire race. I thought, “Why do people do this to themselves.” Then, it all clicked!! I was weak! Soon after, I joined my first CrossFit gym and became stronger and faster! Since then, I have completed multiple half marathons, one full marathon, a few obstacle races, and CrossFit competitions, all PAIN-FREE!

After realizing the importance of strength training, I knew I wanted to help others live their best lives outside the gym! Now, I own CrossFit Expedition, and I have the opportunity to change lives every day.
