The Seventh Annual Spring Race was a beautiful celebration of community, competition, and the natural beauty of the Great Guernsey Trail! Runners and walkers of all ages took part in the Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, and Fun Run, all while supporting a great cause—funding future development projects for the Great Guernsey Trail and Coal Ridge Park & Trails through the Guernsey County Community Development Corporation.
The morning brought cool temperatures and sunny skies, perfect for racing. Participants were rewarded with generous age group awards and grilled burgers and hot dogs that added to the post-race festivities.
Top Highlights Include:
5K
- Zak placed 1st in the 30–39 age group
- Tim earned 2nd in 50–59
- Rachel claimed 3rd in 50–59
10K
- Erica was our sole runner and won the 50–59 age group!
Half Marathon Champions
- Helen and Kim finished strong, taking 1st and 2nd overall
- Haley (1st) and Paige (3rd) shined in the 20–29 division
- Chris and Keat represented the 40–49 group with 3rd place finishes
- Catherine, Missi, and Tracy swept the 50–59 category, placing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
- Kevin and Nancy rounded out the 60–69 group with 2nd place finishes
