Last night’s 2FGR Run for Down Syndrome 3K, 5K, and 10K delivered community, competition, and a taste of summer heat! As the season’s first truly warm race, runners had to dig deep and adapt quickly—but that didn’t stop our RUNColumbus athletes from shining on the course.
The 10K, part of this year’s Challengers Series, saw a dominant performance from Cris, who secured 1st Overall. Top age group finishers in the 10K included:
- Fern (30-39)
- Abbey (30-39)
- Audrey (40-49)
- Clare (50-59)
- Johnetta (60-69)
- Sue (70-79)
In the 5K, five RUNColumbus teammates ran with Team Heart & Sole Champions, representing a beautiful example of inclusive racing. Congratulations to our top 5K age group finishers:

- Sherry & Tracy (60-69)
The 3K was highlighted by a touching and fast finish from Ian, who earned 1st Overall while running with his daughter. Zak led the 30-39 age group.
