Meet RUNColumbus team member Sara Ryan. Sara and her husband Ryan are participating in the RUNColumbus Race Series. In January 2021, Sara was diagnosed with Epilepsy. Sara says:

“This diagnosis destroyed me. After going through massive ups and downs mixed with horrible anxiety and serious depression, I decided to push myself into a change. I needed to go in a positive direction that would lead me into a happier and healthier life. I still have bad days, but now I will, or try to, focus on everything I accomplished this year, as well as what I have set for myself  in 2022.”

“I am so thankful for a husband who has participated with me in all of the past races and the ones we have scheduled in the future. None of this I could have done without his love and support. The only goal I have set for myself in 2022 is to try. I believe trying will keep me on my path to a positive and happy life.”
