Mom Day 5K & 10K Recap

On a beautiful Mother’s Day morning, the Westerville Sports Complex was filled with love, movement, and meaningful connection as participants gathered for the 2nd Annual Mom Day 5K, 10K + Kiddo Dash. The event brought together runners, walkers, and community members from all walks of life to raise awareness and support for maternal mental health.

The 10K race saw Anthony and Abbey taking top overall honors—Abbey securing back-to-back championships! Age group highlights include Katie (30–39), Christy and Sandy (40–49, with a new PR for Sandy!), and a podium sweep by Helen, Janice, and Jennifer in the 50–60 category. Johnetta and Karla stood strong in the 60–69 group. Larry placed 1st and Andy 3rd in the 50–59 age group, while Tom earned 2nd in the 60–69 division.

In the 5K, Alli and Haley took 1st and 2nd in the 20–29 age group, and Johanna finished 3rd in the 50–59 division, setting a new personal record! Barbara and Beth owned the 60–69 podium placing first and second, and Paula represented powerfully in the 70–79 group.

On the men’s side, David dominated the 40–49 group with a win—his second in as many days! Terry and Tim placed 1st and 2nd in the 50–59 division, while Fred took top honors in the 70–79 group.

Thank you to every participant, volunteer, and supporter for making this event a powerful tribute to motherhood in all its forms.
