Bobby Schuler is new to the RUNColumbus Race Series and brings a remarkable running journey that began just a few years ago. Using a run-walk approach, Bobby has quickly embraced the half marathon as his favorite distance while continuing to explore what’s possible with consistency and curiosity.
What excites Bobby most about joining RUNColumbus is the opportunity to build connections. Having trained and raced mostly on his own, he’s looking forward to becoming part of a community—forming friendships and sharing the running experience with others.
Bobby started running in 2022 at age 60 with the goal of improving his health, but along the way he discovered just how much he loves the sport. Since then, he’s completed 29 races, including five half marathons, a 20-miler, a marathon, and even a 50K. Now, he’s weighing what’s next—whether that means chasing speed or pushing farther into ultra distances.
As Bobby steps into his first season with Team RUNColumbus, his story is a reminder that it’s never too late to start—and that running has a way of opening doors far beyond the finish line.
