Hilltop U.S.A. 5K & 5K Ruck Run Recap

Team RUNColumbus kicked off July 4th at the Hilltop U.S.A. 5K & 5K Ruck Run, presented by our friends at Columbus Westside Running Club. It was a meaningful holiday morning filled with miles, community, and purpose as runners, walkers, and ruckers gathered on the Hilltop to celebrate Independence Day and support an event rooted in service.

Team RUNColumbus showed up strong across both events, with several teammates earning top finishes. In the 5K, age group award winners included Annie, 1st, and Kara, 2nd, in 14–19; Clare, 1st, and Helen, 2nd, in 50–59; Polly, 1st, and Nancy, 3rd, in 60–69; Barbara, 2nd, in 70+; Steve, 1st, in 60–69; and Fred, 1st, in 70+.

In the 5K Ruck Run, congratulations to Danielle, who finished first overall in the women’s division.

From the runners to the walkers to the ruckers, it was a strong morning for the team and a great way to begin the Fourth of July. Thank you to Columbus Westside Running Club and everyone who helped make this race such a special part of the holiday.

Let’s RUNColumbus TOGETHER.
