The inaugural Columbus Cookie Run 5K and 10K was a huge success! The 10K served as the second race in the 12-race Challengers Series, where competitors are vying for age group, division, and grand champion titles in this year’s RUNColumbus Race Series.
Team RUNColumbus showed up in full force, with top finishers across nearly every age group in both distances. In the 10K, our athletes swept the podium in both the men’s and women’s divisions! Congratulations to Cris G., Jude P., and Anthony H. on the men’s side, and Amy P., Sidra P., and Abbey L. on the women’s side.
Special shout-outs to Emma S. for coming out to cheer on the team while nursing a hamstring injury and to Karen M., who made her first appearance after recovering from surgery. And let’s hear it for those (that we know of) crushing PRs—congratulations to Aaron T., Maureen J., Abbey L., Tracy R., Malcolm A., and Johanna L. on setting new personal bests!
The Columbus Cookie Run was a fantastic way to test our strength, build on our training, get in some hill work, and, of course, enjoy some well-earned post-race cookies.
