A Weekend of Racing Across Roads and Trails

Team RUNColumbus was well represented this past weekend with teammates racing across Central Ohio—from the streets of downtown Columbus to the rugged beauty of the trails.

At the Franklinton 10 Miler & 5K, runners gathered along the Scioto for a fast and festive morning. The 10 Miler, part of the Challenger Series, brought strong competition and great energy from start to finish.

Several RUNColumbus teammates delivered standout performances:

  • Cris — 2nd Overall (10 Miler)
  • Ali — 1st Place, 20–29 (10 Miler)
  • Billur — 1st Place, 40–49 (10 Miler)
  • Julie — 1st Place, 50–59 (10 Miler)
  • Patti — 1st Place, 70+ (10 Miler)
  • Becky — 1st Place, 50–59 (5K)

Meanwhile on the trails, teammates took on the Muddy Duck at Rocks and Roots Trail at Alum Creek State Park, tackling distances from 6K to 50K.

Congratulations to two more standout performances on the trails:

  • Tony — 3rd Overall, 20K
  • Barbara — 1st Place, 70+ (10K)

It was also the first 80+ degree race day of the season—a beautiful but demanding reminder that warmer miles are here and our bodies are still adjusting.

Despite the conditions, teammates showed up strong—racing, volunteering, encouraging one another, and representing the RUNColumbus community across multiple events.

Roads or trails. Short distances or ultra efforts.
Another weekend of shared miles and strong performances.

Let’s RUNColumbus TOGETHER.
