A Weekend of Fireflies and Rainbows

This weekend gave Team RUNColumbus a little bit of everything.

Trails after dark.
Camping vibes.
Sunset miles.
Sunrise miles.
A 12-hour overnight challenge.
And a Rainbow Run that gave people a place to show up, be seen, and move with purpose.

At the Firefly Overnight Endurance Race at Rocks & Roots Trail, teammates leaned into something different. For some, that meant trying trails. For others, it meant running through the night, camping between miles, or coming back Sunday morning for more.

And Team RUNColumbus showed up strong.

In the Sunset 10K, Fern was second overall, while Billur and Amy finished first and second overall. Tracy and Patrick also brought home age-group wins. In the Overnight Endurance Race, Jason finished second overall after logging more than 50 miles, and George won his age group. Then in Sunday morning’s Sunrise 10K, Tony was first overall, with age group wins from Maria, Barbara, Owen, Patrick, and Fred.

On Sunday, teammates also gathered for the Rainbow Run 5K, supporting a race rooted in belonging, visibility, and community. Congratulations to Abbey and Piper, who finished second and third overall.

Whether you ran through the dark, tried something new, raced hard, walked with purpose, or cheered someone else forward, you were part of a weekend worth celebrating. Congratulations to everyone who raced, volunteered, supported, and represented this team so well.

Let’s RUNColumbus TOGETHER.
