Rain, Racing, and Donuts at the Westerville Donut Run
RUNColumbus team members battled humid, rainy conditions across the 1 Mile, 5K, and 10K—with plenty of top finishes and a sweet reward waiting at the finish.
Rain, humidity, and plenty of donuts set the stage for a memorable morning at the Westerville Donut Run at Alum Creek Park North.
RUNColumbus team members took on the 1 Mile, 5K, and 10K, with the 10K serving as a 2026 Challenger Series event. The conditions were anything but easy, but that didn’t stop the team from turning in some impressive performances across all three distances.
Fred led the way in the 1 Mile, finishing 1st Overall.
In the 5K, Danielle, Johanna, and Richard each earned age group wins.
The 10K brought even more standout finishes. Brian captured 1st Overall, with Kyle finishing 3rd Overall. Amy was the 1st Overall female finisher, followed by Clare in 2nd Overall.
RUNColumbus also celebrated a long list of 10K age group winners: Malaya, Alli, Jonathon, Patrick, George, Maria, Steve, Noemi, Johnetta, and Barbara.
Beyond the results, it was another great morning of teammates showing up, encouraging one another, tackling challenging conditions, and sharing the finish line together.
And when the reward waiting at the end is a donut, there may be a little extra motivation to keep moving.
Congratulations to everyone who raced the Westerville Donut Run. Another Challenger Series race is in the books—and another RUNColumbus morning filled with movement, community, and plenty to celebrate.
Let’s RUNColumbus TOGETHER.
