RUNColumbus athletes filled two very different start lines this weekend, but both races reflected what our community does best: show up, encourage one another, and keep moving forward together.
Saturday’s Halfway to the Holidays offered a gorgeous morning with refreshingly cool temperatures and a tree-lined, out-and-back course along the TJ Evans Bike Path. Athletes tackled distances ranging from the 5K and quarter marathon to the half and full marathon, with runners beginning in waves throughout the morning.
Thank you to the RUNColumbus teammates who volunteered and helped create a welcoming race-day experience. We were also excited to welcome two of our newest teammates, Alyssa and Christy, to the start line!
On Sunday, the community came together again for the ninth annual Strength in Colors 5K at the Westerville Sports Complex. The event supports cancer prevention, education, and assistance for patients—a meaningful mission that made every step count.
Billur led the way as the first overall female finisher. Age-group winners included Michelle and Munir in the 40–49 division, Erica in 50–59, Polly in 60–69, and Fred and Barbara in 70+.
Thank you to everyone who volunteered, raced, cheered, and supported their teammates throughout the weekend. From endurance challenges to miles with a mission, it was another reminder that every pace and every distance has a place in this community.
Let’s RUNColumbus TOGETHER.
