Team RUNColumbus showed up strong across two meaningful events last weekend, with teammates racing at both the 20th Annual Shepherd’s Corner 5K and Sunday’s Running Against ALS 5K, 15K, and 15K Relay.
At Shepherd’s Corner, runners and walkers took on a beautiful all-terrain course while supporting the Ecology Center’s work in environmental education, food pantry gardens, and land restoration. Team RUNColumbus delivered several standout performances, with Tony and Fern finishing second and third overall in the men’s division, and Abbey and Amy finishing first and second overall in the women’s division.
On Sunday, the momentum continued at Running Against ALS, where teammates turned in an incredible showing across all distances. In the 15K, Clare, Billur, and Helen swept the women’s overall podium, finishing first, second, and third overall. On the men’s side, Munir and Pat C. finished first and second overall. Age group winners included Alex in 30–39, Pat S. and Lucy in 40–49, and Tracy in 60–69.
The 5K brought even stronger finishes. David R. and Kyle finished second and third overall in the men’s division, while Alli, Abbey, and Amy S. swept the women’s overall podium, finishing first, second, and third overall. Age group winners included Rick and Carolyn in 30–39, Seth in 40–49, Catherine in 50–59, Noemi in 60–69, and Fred and Barb in 70+.
And in the 15K Relay, congratulations to Best Pace Scenario, featuring Maria and her sons Josh and Matthew, for bringing home the win.
Congratulations to everyone who ran, walked, volunteered, cheered, and represented Team RUNColumbus so well.
Let’s RUNColumbus TOGETHER.
