Kathy DeFrancisco is in her second season with the RUNColumbus Race Series and brings a lifelong love of running to the community. Having fallen in love with the sport back in her middle school cross-country days, Kathy sees RUNColumbus as the grown-up version of that same team experience—only with even more connection.
What Kathy loves most is the people. Through RUNColumbus, she’s built meaningful friendships and found a space that is pro-woman, positive, and truly inclusive. One of the greatest joys, she says, is always knowing someone at a race—turning every start line into a place of belonging.
For Kathy, RUNColumbus isn’t just a race series—it’s a community she can’t imagine being without. As she looks ahead to 2026, she’s excited for another year filled with great races, shared miles, and continued connection.
