Amy Kaye Taylor is new to the RUNColumbus Race Series, but she is deeply rooted in the Columbus running community with over 20 years of experience in distance racing. A dedicated runner with a love for the half marathon, Amy brings both longevity and enthusiasm to every starting line she steps onto.
What excites Amy about RUNColumbus is the sense of connection. She loves seeing familiar RUNColumbus faces at races and looks forward to expanding her running community even further through the series. For her, racing is about more than miles—it’s about shared experiences and showing up together.
Amy’s running journey is marked by consistency and ambition. Last year celebrated 20 years of running the Cap City Half Marathon, and she’s showing no signs of slowing down. She’s currently on a mission to complete marathons in every state, with four states in her sights for 2026.
Beyond racing, Amy is a leader and coach within the local running scene. She has been part of Team FrontRunner since its early days and currently serves as head coach. She is also an active coach and vice president of the Columbus Westside Running Club, continuing to give back to the community that fuels her passion.
For Amy, running has always been about community—and she’s looking forward to another year of miles, memories, and meaningful connections with Team RUNColumbus.
