The Fantastic Frigid 5K launched the inaugural RUNColumbus Trail Series in style, bringing together a big showing from Team RUNColumbus for a strong start to the 2026 trail season. While the January weather was kinder than its name suggests, the race delivered everything else we hoped for—challenging trails, an energetic atmosphere, and a true sense of community from start to finish.
Team RUNColumbus made its presence known across the results, with standout performances and podium finishes throughout the field. Phil finished 3rd Overall, Charlotte claimed 1st Overall, Annie earned 2nd Overall, and Kim rounded out the podium with 3rd Overall. Age group highlights included Emma (20–29), Caleb and Erin (30–39), David and Shana (40–49), Patrick and Maria (50–59), and Barbara (70+), showcasing the depth and range of our team across all ages.
This race set the tone for what the RUNColumbus Trail Series is all about—grit, consistency, and shared miles in the woods. Next up, we head to Rocks & Roots for our second trail race of the 2026 season, and there’s still time to be part of the journey.
