OhioHealth Grandview Yard Recap

The RUNColumbus team turned out strong at the OhioHealth Grandview Yard Half Marathon, Quarter Marathon, and 5K—Challengers Series Race #9 of the season. With only three more Challenger races to go, every performance matters as athletes chase points toward the 2025 Grand, Division, and Age Group Championships. Remember, your top six scores determine the standings, so the finish line is in sight!

It was a day of breakthroughs and celebrations. Johanna completed her very first half marathon, while Maria not only ran her first half marathon since 2011 but also set a new PR in the process. Across all distances, runners reported personal bests, including Emma’s 20-minute PR, and milestones that made this race one to remember.

We also extend a huge thank you to all of our team members who volunteered. Your presence and encouragement make a difference, and we see and appreciate every one of you.

The podium was packed with RUNColumbus talent:

  • Half Marathon: Clare (1st, 50–59), Josh (2nd, 15–19), Erin (3rd, 40–49)
  • Quarter Marathon: Chris G. (2nd, 30–39, as he begins his Sydney Marathon taper), Janice (2nd, 50–59), Polly (1st, 60–69), Patti (1st, 70+), Sue (2nd, 70+)
  • 5K: Tim (1st, 50–59), Paula (1st, 70+), Michael (2nd, 70+)

From first-timers to age-group champions, the Grandview Yard races showcased the grit, spirit, and community that make RUNColumbus special.
